"I am thankful to Heavenly Father when He answers my prayers..."

We took family pictures on November 8th, 2006 at Las Sendas in Mesa, Arizona. The sunsets here lately have been breathtaking...and hopefully we captured a few good pictures for our Christmas cards this year! Payton is almost 4 years old and Sydney is 17 months. Pretty babies!

My college roommate Talia came to Arizona for a short visit with her baby, it was so much fun. She is a photographer (t-graphicsonline.com) and she took our family pictures. How grateful I am for my family. They are so beautiful to me and very much an answer to my prayers.

Payton's primary program part was:
"I am thankful to Heavenly Father when He answers my prayers. One time, I lost my toy fish and my diver, and I prayed to Heavenly Father, and He helped me find it."

Fall has come and gone....

Well, my favorite time of year has come and gone. And it is nearly Christmas. That is hard to believe. We did have an enjoyable fall, however. The weather here is Arizona is so nice right now. And we were able to go to Idaho and enjoy the fall leaves for a few days. We also had a super halloween here in Mesa. The kids were the gang from "Toy Story 2" and our Buzz, Jessie, Woody and Bullseye were so cute. They all had a fun time together. And once Sydney and Payton figured out what trick or treating was really all about, they were all for it! We just returned from Thanksgiving in St. George. It was a nice little break and fun to see all the family. Thanksgiving is always a time to give thanks. We went around the table (sort of sarcastically by some) and I said I was thankful for my health. And truly, I am. I feel like many people in my life are struggling with their health right now and it breaks my heart. I suppose it's all part of this earth life, but it sure is awful. Knock on wood, I guess, I am so thankful to be a healthy, strong (ok, sort of strong) person. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you...especially Grandpa Moulton. And speaking of thankful, I could not be more enthused that the primary program is over! And it went so well, even if Payton "stole the show"...all my Love to you!

Bad haircut

Hello all, just a word about the bad haircut I received this past week. Nothing is worse because you can't change it and the thought of how long it takes to grow out just makes you feel sick. It's been a ponytail week to say the least. Guess that's ok since that's the norm for me anyways and I have been at work, where ponytails are a must! Yes, I am back at work and truthfully loving it. I just like what I do and I am good at it. That's a pretty good feeling. There is a lot of drama going on, however, and a lot of changes which include the entire staff transferring to Banner Desert Hospital across town. And so I am following. I have an interview over there tomorrow. I have felt busy though and I miss the kids. It's crazy how I think I need time away and then I get away and can't wait to get back and hug them. They are so beautiful. I love to hear Payton sing and he is learning his letter sounds! And Sydney is just a little gem. She is getting so darn cute and personable. Dama Dama (Grandma Joan) has been babysitter of the year lately it seems. She watched them again last night while Mike and I went to see Jay Leno. He did an hour and a half comedy routine for a benefit for the masters of real estate program at ASU (Mike's program). It was funny. And I am such a "Jay" fan. We had a fun time.

The joke at work has been that I am a "celebrity" stalker! It all started because I was planning on going to the Dr. Phil show this week with my mother in law. And then I got talking about Jay Leno and Kobe (met him in June) and Tim and Faith (caressed Tim's hand several times in September)! I guess I am a bit of a stalker lately. I will have to post some pictures.

I wanted to mention that I have been in contact with many friends from high school and college lately...it has been so wonderful to hear from them and learn more about their lives. You all know who you are and I just want to say thanks and let's keep it up. I just heard some joyous news about a new baby on the way! Congrats to Tiffany, my dear cousin and roommate. It's funny because recently I had the thought that I really need to do all I can to be a better friend, sister and daughter. I really hope to stay close to you all.

Love from Arizona.

first time blog...

Well, I have to admit, I had to ask Mike what "blog" actually means. And I know not what I am doing, but I think it would be nice to have a place to post pictures and journal a bit on our lives here in Arizona. We have a lot of family and friends here, but we have a lot who are not here (and we miss you) so, now we can share our moments with you.
